Allergic angioedema, which can happen in minutes to hours. 

Angioedema is an area of swelling (edema) of the lower layer of skin and tissue just under the skin or mucous membranes. Swelling may occur in the face, tongue, larynx (area of the throat containing the vocal cords and used for breathing, swallowing, and talking--AKA Voice box), abdomen, or arms and legs.

Usually people with angioedema also have hives which  are raised, red dots or welts that appear on the skin.
