When did the Bundeswehr have its first foreign deployment ?
In November 1959, the Bundeswehr had its first foreign deployment. Air Force planes flew medicines to the Moroccan city of Meknès. A few months later, there was the first major deployment following the devastating earthquake in Agadir in 1960. In addition to these two missions in 1959/1960, there were 133 other humanitarian aid missions of this kind up to 1991
