How are curriculum points earned in Mathletics?
Curriculum Points:
- 10 points for every correct answer
- 20 points per correct answer in each "AYR" and "Topic Test"
- Live Mathletics, one point is awarded for every correct answer given — so in a game with 55 correct answers, that’s 55 points
- Extra points are available for choosing a game at your Bonus Level (indicated by a gold star next to the level number) — here you will get TWO points for each correct answer.
You can earn a maximum of 300 points per activity, per week (600 points for a Topic Test).
What are the "Big Books"?
Big Books are great for introducing or summarizing specific concepts or Mathseeds lessons that you may want to assign. You can browse the Big Books by grade level on the tabs at the top of the Big Books section. From the student's point of view, Big Books are the books that show up at the end of each lesson.

Can a student be transferred from one school to another? What is transferred?
Yes, you need the student's login information to transfer them over. Login info, certificate, avatar and points earned are moved over
What are Mathseeds Driving Tests?
The Driving Tests in Mathseeds are an additional component of the program, whereby questions are organised by topics (measurement, geometry, data etc).
Each topic has a variety of tests. Each test consists of 10 questions. When students get all 10 questions correct, they get a really fun reward by getting to play a driving game. The next test is then unlocked.
Driving Tests are accessible in Mathseeds regardless of the lesson the student is on.

How do you re-set the placement test?
Log into Mathseeds as a Teacher or Subscription Coordinator.
Go to 'Management' on the left-hand side.
Go to 'Manage Progress'.
Select the student you wish to reset the placement test for.
Click 'Edit '.
Select the 'No change' dropdown bar under 'My Lessons'.
Select 'Placement Test'
Click 'Save Changes'.

When does the Mathletics March Madness Competition typically happen? Provide min. 3 rules of the competition.
- It's open to Mathletics subscribed schools in Canada
- Schools must be registered for the competition
- Only students can complete the activities and earn points
- Only points and activities mastered within the dates of the competition will be calculated
- Work completed on tablets, in offline mode may not be calculated
- Schools may add additional students for free, for the duration of the competition only
Why are Fill Learning Gaps Imp? And, how do you review and assign them?
It can help support teachers remediate student learning gaps by recommending UPF activities (Quests) to address knowledge gaps identified in Assessment results.
The Fill Learning Gaps feature is available in the Assessments area, under the Class and Group dropdown.

- Cover Story: students make predictions on what a story is about based on its cover
- Dictionary: students choose a dictionary word to study
- Words in context: the chosen dictionary word is studied in context
- Compare & contrast: students read a paragraph a must identify what is the same & what is different
- It’s not there: students identify words with objects in a picture and must find the missing object
- Keywords: students identify the word with it’s meaning
- Reading: students read a short passage then answer 10 multiple choice questions to test various literacy concepts & their own knowledge of the subject
- Who, what, where, when: students must find the facts
- Main idea & details: students must identify the main idea & supporting details from a paragraph
