What is Product?

A letter or symbol used to represent a number or quantities that vary
What is a Variable?
A number that is the result of division
What is Quotient
A comparison of two quantities that have different units of measure. Ex, 60 words/ 2 minutes
What is Rate?
A combination of numbers and variables ordered with operations Ex. 3 + Y
What is an Expression?
Two numbers whose product is 1. Switch the denominator and numerator.
What is Reciprocal?
The cost per unit of an item. Ex. The cost of the soda is 3.5 cents per ounce.
What is Unit Price?
Terms in an algebraic expression that have the same variable raised to the same power. Coefficients can be different. 7y and -2y are examples

The sum of two addends multiplied by a number is the sum of the product of each addend and the number. For example, 4(x+2)
What is the Distributive Property?
When you know the original amount and the size or measure of ONE part, we use this to find the number of parts. Ex. 20 is how many groups of 4?
What is Measurement Model of Division?
A number line with a scale on the top and a different scale on the bottom -- used to organize and compare equivalent ratios
What is a Double Number Line?
The set of values that satisfy a given set of equations or inequalities. And What is solution for x<8 from the replacement set {6,7,8,9}?
