Claims Check Verification Process
All claims checks are issued out of Processor.
Information regarding a check can only be released/verified to the payee
A stop pay can only be requested by the payee
Allow for 14 days from the date the check was issued before requesting research
(stop pay), unless the check was sent to the wrong address. Note: If the check was
sent to a foreign address it may be necessary to allow additional mailing time.

Verify address using the NP Screen
Review all notes regarding the claim, check Diary Comment Screen, check notes on
Claim History Screen, check messages in FF for a work request or any notes. Notes
should show if something is already being done to research the status of the claim
check or any other important information regarding the claim.
A check can be reissued to a new address if the payee has moved or if the original
was sent to the incorrect address, but we cannot change the payee name listed on
the check.
