If someone travelled from America to Australia after Pesach, and did not go around the world, how and when will they celebrate Shavuot? And why?
Shavuot is celebrated after counting 49 complete days - no fixed date written in Torah. Thus, if passing the date-line, the count is one day behind, and Yom Tov will be celebrated as they do in America, so...
Monday and Tuesday.
However, because Sunday is Yom Tov for Australia, they need to still wear Tefillin and daven a weekday davening, and say regular Havdalah on Motzei Shabbos. They also cannot perform any Melacha, even in private, and must still act as though it is Yom Tov - attending Shul, and wearing special clothing.
Monday: must observe everything as usual, except will not say "Zman Matan Torateinu" in davening.
Tuesday: as above.
Yizkor: can recite with the community.
