1. Distribute between the parents and children enough small cones, flat cones and balls on the field to accommodate the entire class. Each child should have access to at least two (2) cones, two (2) flat cones and one (1) ball.

Cone Towers

1. Set up a small goal or use the big goal at one end of the field.
2. The Coach gets inside the goal.
3. The Coach surrounds himself or herself with all or most of the soccer balls.

1. Create a gathering area on the field by bringing all of the equipment (cones, flat cones, balls) needed for the game to the center of the field.
2. Remember to use the Tell-Show-Tell-Go teaching model to demonstrate each step of the game at each juncture in the game.

Coney Island

1. Place five flat cones in a straight line (so it mimics a goal line) in front of a large goal or two small goals placed side by side.
2. Make sure the cones are close enough to the goal (about three (3) feet), so that when kicked the ball will make it in.
3. Place all of the soccer balls on the side of the field and close to the goals.

Tee It Up

1. Using three (3) small goals create a triangle with about 40 feet between each goal.
2. Place all soccer balls inside of one of the small goals—if you have access to the large goal use that to store the soccer balls instead of the small goal.
3. Place one spot for each player to the side of each of the two empty goals.

1. Using cones create a large circle in the middle of the field.
2. Place one soccer ball for each child inside the circle.

1. Set up a noodle path in front of either a large goal or a small goal.
2. Create the noodle path by forming two (2) parallel rows of five noodles with noodles placed end-to-end.
3. Noodle rows should create a lane about four (4) feet wide.

1. Using spots create a circle with a ten (10) foot diameter. This is the base surrounded by the invisible force field.
2. Explain to the players that the circle is the Invisible Base and when they are inside the circle they are invisible, but when the Coach shouts, “Go!” the invisibility screen no longer works.
3. The Coach starts with a noodle in hand.

1. Using spots, divide the field in half width-wise. This represents the fence dividing the two backyards.
2. Place soccer balls on both sides of the field.
3. Position the class on one side of the field, the Coach on the other.

1. Place two rows of spots across from each other about 15 feet apart with four (4) to five (5) feet between spots.
2. Each player stands on a spot.
3. Give soccer balls to one row of players.
4. The opposite row of players stand with their legs apart

1. With four (4) tall cones make a 20 x 20 foot square in the middle of the field to create an open field.
2. The players are in the square dribbling their soccer balls keeping them within the spots.

Wolf Pack

Quicksand: On one end place four (4) hula hoops on the ground so they are a bit staggered, yet still touching—this formation is quicksand.

Tree Tops: Place four (4) cones to make a square a few feet in front of the last hula hoop. The pairs of cones are parallel with two to three (2-3) feet between them. These are the tops of tree in the jungle. The kids pretend to swing through the trees with imaginary vines, touching the tops of the trees (i.e., cones).

Rainbow Waterfall: Place two small goals several feet from the cones. Make sure the mouth of each goal is facing in. Place a parachute over the goals so it covers the goals, but the players can still crawl underneath it. This is the Rainbow Waterfall.

Blue Bananas: The Coach stands across from the Waterfall in an imaginary cave with enough soccer balls for all players. The balls are the Blue Bananas (if soccer balls are blue, as they should be!)

Monkey Tree House: Place a small goal nearby (or set up the course so it ends by a large goal). This is the Monkey Tree House that the Monkeys (i.e., the players) shoot their Blue Bananas into.

Jungle Boogie

1. Use the large goal or place two (2) small goals on one side of the field.
2. Place two spots on the other side of the field, leaving at least 50 feet between them, to create starting places for players.
3. Place all soccer balls between the two spots.
4. Divide the class into two groups.
5. Line up each group behind a spot. The first players in each line start out on their stomachs with their heads facing goal.

Fast Break

1. Place one small goal in each of the four corners of the field. (You may need to borrow an extra pair of goals from a neighboring class.)
2. Set one tall cone in the middle of the field.
3. Using spots, create a circle about five (5) feet in diameter around the cone.
4. Create two teams: coach (or coaches) versus players. On Parents Week play Kids v Parents.
5. Play with only one ball on the field.

Four Corners

1. Create teams with up to three players per team. If a class has only three players, create three teams.
2. Hand out different colored scrimmage jerseys to each team.
3. Place one small goal per team in separate corners of the field.
4. Assign each team a goal.
5. Place one spot for each player to the side of each empty goal.
6. Line the groups up on the spots.
7. Place all available soccer balls in the middle of the field.

Team Hungry Hippos

1. Divide the players into two or three groups depending on class size.
2. Have them stand in single-file lines.
3. The first person in each line has a soccer ball.
4. Place one spot directly in front of the first person in each line and a hula hoop about 30-35 feet in front of the spot
5. Scatter ten (10) flat and ten (10) tall cones around the outside of the hula hoops.

Skyscraper

1. Divide players into three teams each wearing different colored scrimmage jerseys.
2. Divide the full field into quadrants using lines of spots or flat cones.
3. Give each team and the Coach a quadrant to play in.
4. Give a quarter of all soccer balls to each side.

Pinball

1. Create a circle of spots with about a ten (10) foot diameter in the middle of the field. This circle is the Moat protecting the Castles.
2. Place several cones inside the circle.
3. The players (Knights) spread out around the field.

Castles & Cannonballs

1. Create a River at midfield that divides the field into two (2) equal sections. Place flat cones on the ground in a zigzag pattern to create the River.
2. Spread several balls on the other side of the River (i.e., the opposite side of the two small goals).
3. Divide the class into two equal teams, with one team where the soccer balls are on one side of the River, and the other team on the other side of the River where the goals are.

Pumpkin Patch

1. Place two small goals on one end of the field.
2. Create a River using flat cones.
3. Create two noodle paths (Bridges) in front of—and about 15 feet away from—each goal.
4. Place all soccer balls on the side of the field opposite the goals.

Goody Goody Gumdrops

1. Divide the class into two teams.
2. Distinguish teams with different colored scrimmage jerseys.
3. Spread five (5) soccer balls around the field.
4. Place two small circles of spots, six (6) feet in diameter, on each end of the field to create two Moats.
5. Inside each Moat (circle of spots) place five (5) tall cones. This is the Castle.

Battlefield Challenge

1. Set up one small goal at the end of the field. For Micro 4-5 classes, set up two (2) small goals.
2. Starting on a spot fifteen (15) away from the goal, players form a single-file line with soccer balls at their feet. For Micro 4-5 classes, provide a spot for each player lined up.
3. Set up a row of five (5) cones along the sideline. Players will dribble, zigzagging through these cones after shooting.

Beat the Keeper, Be the Keeper

1. Divide the field in half width-wise using spots.
2. Place one small goal at each end of the field within easy shooting distance for the kids in class.
3. Divide players into two groups, one on each side of the field.
4. Spread all the balls around both sides of the field.
