On Christmas in 1914 on a battle field messages and SONG began to be shouted between the trenches. Most reported was the singing of a familiar song known in many languages.  (Silent Night) 

The following day, British and German soldiers met in no man's land and exchanged gifts, took photographs and some played impromptu games of  soccer (Football) broke out between British, French and German forces. They also buried casualties and repaired trenches and dugouts. 

This ceased (stopped) the WAR they were fighting. This was unheard of and very uncommon.  These soldiers were fighting (killing each other) They fought before and after this day. A PEACE like this during the times of war has never happened again since. WHAT WAR DID THIS HAPPEN DURRING?
