Are we a Pet Friendly community?
Yes we even have our own facility dog that goes between memory support, assisted living and independent living. Her name is Eve. Tenants can also bring their pets to live in their apartment.
Where is the Villages at Marion located?
We are centrally located right where Cedar Rapids and Marion meet by Thomas Park.
What is included with your rent?
Heat, Water, Trash, Cable, Housekeeping, Free Laundry Facilities, Transportation, Activities/Outings and Continental breakfast
What services included with the rent?
All Utilities, internet and cable. Weekly housekeeping and laundry services. All meals and snacks. Nursing staff on site 24/7. Emergency pendants, activities and transportation to medical appointments.
Is memory care its own building?
No memory care is a part of our assisted living in its own wing
How many activity directors do we have?
We have 3 activity directors. One for independent, one for assisted and one for memory support. We also have a driver for their activities.
If family would visit from out of town is there a place they can stay?
Yes we have an apartment set up for family use if needed.
What is the benefit of living in an independent community?
Socializing with a community, having activities, meals and enhanced services
What nursing services do we offer?
We have different levels of support that we offer based on needs of care.
Is there an area outside designated for Memory Support?
Yes, we have our own area for memory support. We have raised flower beds, tables and chairs, umbrella and garden area.
Is there an area family can reserve for family gatherings?
We have the friendship room and dining room at Village Place. At Village Ridge we have 2 large 3 season porches and our coffee shop for family to use
What building amenities do we have?
We have a beauty shop, billiards area, bird aviary, puzzle area, chapel, library, computer center, coffee shops, 3 seasons porches, therapy room, secure building, koy fish pond, back patio over looking Thomas Park, walking trails around the building.
What add on services do we provide?
Parking and garage, storage units and enhanced services
What areas are there for tenants to utilize to hangout?
We have the activity room, back patio, coffee shops, screened in porches, lobby, fireplace and lounge areas.
Does our memory support rooms have kitchens?
No. We do have a kitchenette for them within their area that is for activities.
Who owns the Villages at Marion?
We are a family owned business and they are based out of Nebraska
What wildlife might you see?
Turkeys, deer, squirrels, chipmunks, groundhog, birds and the occasional cat
What apartment amenities do we offer?
Emergency pull cords, full size kitchens (refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, garbage disposal), several storage options in rooms, climate control rooms and walk in tubs.
What qualities make our bathrooms functional for aging adults?
We have large bathrooms that accommodate the use of walkers and/or wheelchairs. Walk in showers with safety grab bars and emergency pull cords
What training does our staff have for nursing care?
Dementia training, dependent adult abuse, CPR, OMT/CNA and Activity director course
Are the apartments furnished?
No the apartments are not furnished so that our tenants can bring whatever items they would like to make their apartment feel like home.
What is the average amount of years staff has been with us?
4.5 years
