Makia
وأن الساعة لا ريب فيها
And that there can be no doubt about the Hour.
ثلاثة رابعهم كلبهم
There were three, the fourth of them being their dog
فلا تُمار فيهم
So do not argue about them
ولا تقولن
And never say...
How many ayat?
110
فقالوا ابنوا عليهم بنيانا
They said, "Construct a building over them..."
خمسة سادسهم كلبهم
There were five, the sixth of them being their dog
ولا تستفي فيهم منهم أحدا
And do not inquire about them among [the speculators] from anyone.
الا ان يشاء الله
Except (with the saying) "If Allah wills!"

ربُّهم أعلم بهم
"...their Lord knows best about them."
قل ربي اعلم بعدتهم
Say, {O Muhammad]: "My Lord is most knowing of their number"
واذكر ربك إذا نسيت
And remember your Lord when you forget
أن يهديني ربي
"...my Lord will guide me..."

ويقولون وسبعة ثامنهم
And they will say there were seven, and the eighth of them was their dog.
لشيء اني فاعل ذلك غدا
...of anything, "I am doing such-and-such thing tomorrow."
له غيب السموات والأرض
"He has [knowledge of] the unseen [aspects] of the heavens and the earth."
