The parent(s)/guardian(s) is responsible for picking up the medication. If the parent(s)/guardian(s) do not respond, the center must dispose of the medications as required by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.

What is the new substitute rule?
For short term unscheduled Early Childhood Teacher vacancies up to ten (10) business days per calendar year, an Assistant Early Childhood Teacher can substitute for the Early Childhood Teacher. The date and times of substitution must be recorded and available for review at all times.
How long can a child sit in their crib or cot after they wake up?
There is no allotted time- children must be allowed to leave their sleeping area immediately upon waking.

What are the screen time rules for children who are in the centers care?
Screen time, which includes, television, recorded media, computer, tablet, cell phones, video games, and other media devices, is prohibited for children less than two (2) years of age.
Screen time is prohibited during snack or meal times.
For children two (2) to five (5) years of age, screen time must be limited to no more than thirty (30) minutes per day.
For children two (2) years of age and older, screen time may only exceed sixty (60) minutes for a special occasion and must not occur more than once every two (2) weeks
