Since PEO Chapters' Standing Rules are rules for conducting chapters' business meetings, they are the same in each chapter in the US. This makes it easier for traveling members to visit other chapters and participate in their meetings.
False- Each local chapter creates its own Standing Rule to suit its own needs. Local Chapters are free to change these at any time so voted upon by a majority of each chapter, if desired.

The President can fill a vacancy for an officer by appointment and approved by a majority vote of the chapter at the next regular meeting. The President shall obtain consent of each proposed nominee prior to her appointment.
