No, this isn’t a good way. It’s too harsh and can make the person feel bad.

Instead, you could say: "The research is great, but the report would be clearer if you break it into sections like Introduction and Conclusion."

This way, you give positive feedback and suggest how to improve.

Why is it important to stick to appropriate topics, and what can happen if you don't?

Appropriate topics to discuss include the weather, sports, work tasks, respectful compliments like 'Great job!' or 'Nice work!', your interests, and general conversation about the work you're doing. These topics are safe and help create a positive work environment.


It’s important to stick to appropriate topics because discussing personal or sensitive issues can make others uncomfortable. If you don’t, it can create tension, distract you from getting work done, or even get you fired.
