What is the best sentence to continue this conversation?

John: My cat, Garfield, eats all my food! It's a big problem, you know?

A. I don't mean that Garfield is a dog.
B. What I'm saying is, there's never any groceries in the fridge.
C. In other words, Garfield eats all my food.

John: My cat, Garfield, eats all my food! It's a big problem, you know?

B. What I'm saying is, there's never any groceries in the fridge.

B is best because it adds to or rephrases the idea. We use phrases like 'What I'm saying is...' to add to or rephrase an idea.

A is irrelevant (the sentence is not about Garfield being a cat, it's about Garfield eating all John's food)

C is just the same sentence again.
