In a science class, why is it not a good idea to sit on the tables?
A number of JCPS lab activities require having straight flat surfaces; sitting on the tables destroys their shape over time. PLUS, germs and body secretions are often present on the average human pants, and can be spread to the hands eyes, where it becomes a health hazard.
It will contain work that hasn't been completed yet and you must request it.

This is the first segment of the agenda everyday. Usually, the student will write the answer to this agenda item at the top of their guided notes.

How many segments are there in a standard science lesson?
There are 4 segments to every lesson:
Task A is always new information and a video and guided notes.
Task B is always "practice" and might have 2-3 mini lessons
Task C Is always the "Artifact" building, which is rewarded after upload to backpack.
Task D is always a mastery assessment in which you'll complete a form quiz and answer questions about your artifact.

This segment of the class agenda is for the whole class, and is meant to provide students with announcements and guidance for their work-time.
What is the Mini-Lesson?
What does receiving a video lesson hosted by your teacher allow you to do in class? Its something that just about every student wants.
It lets you work alone and at home.
Why are you asked to stay away from the door?
Safety. MDA doesn't want you to know who is in the hallway at any given time.
Never when the teacher is instructing the class.
When is the correct time to sharpen my pencil?
It can consist of 5 minutes of exersize or walking to the playlists.
Breaks and Advisory transitions
This segment of the agenda allows students to talk at a voice level "1" because they'll often be working in pairs and small groups?

True. The mastery assessment will always be 15 mastery points.
Why is a moving break time used in science class.
Kids need a brain and body break in order to re-focus on the task at hand.

When does the whole class find out how well they did? What segment of the agenda is this?
Reflection time. Lights got off and students are encouraged to talk about how the lesson went.
This is the most important part of the class because its when we summarize the learning that took place.

What is the purpose of your PRIVATE Progress Trackers?
It's where your personal lesson plans will be located. It's also a secure place for you to communicate with Ms Smith.
Why does Ms Smith teach at MDA?
