How did you manage time to get everything done?

Split the practices to spend time on the robot game, core values, and project

How did you decide which missions to accomplish and which pathway you would take? 

Scoring Matrix Assessment (distance, points, difficulty)

Limiting paths across the table (1 time across)

combining missions close to each other or with same attachment

How did your robot design change over the season?

Moved the motors for balance

Added anchor to motor 

Added pegs to the plow for grip

Moved our sensors in front of motorized wheels this season for line stops and follows

Made the robot smaller switching to frames

How did you come up with the presentation style or skit?

We all thought of movies or characters that could be used for a fun skit.  We focused on movies that had enough characters for everyone to have part.  Wanted the judges to know about it.  Voted as a team for the Wizard of Oz option

Tell about the testing you did on the robot

Tested the robot design, wheels, and speed.  We also tested the missions for accuracy

Straight line test- drove it along a line and measure deviation

90 Degree turn- had the robot turn 90 degrees and measure the degrees off

wheels and speed- kept all variables the same but wheels and speed to see which drove the straightest

Ran the missions and kept track if they passed or failed

Inviting them to existing team, Tools used in school setting (but not Lego Leagues)
