What was the legend of the Iroquois Legend Woksis and Maple Syrup?

One day a Iroquois Chief named Woksis threw his tomahawk into a maple tree. He yanked it out and left a hole in the tree. A bowl was under the tree and as the day warmed, the sap ran out of the tree into the bowl. When Woksis's wife saw the bowl, she thought it was water and began to cook with it. The sap boiled away, leaving maple syrup in the bowl. Woksis tasted the sweetened meat and loved it, so they began boiling the sap to make syrup.
