How long can a youth be on special programming?
1-5 days or longer if they are not following programming
How many phone calls can you get on level 1?
one call unless parents don't live together
When is it okay to touch your peers?
Never
What is required in order for a staff to process with a kid?
quiet in their room for ten minutes without books or shoes, or other items. another staff must be present if there are more than two residents on the pod
What are 3pm room time expectations?
Not in the doorway, not talking to your peers, quiet and not disruptive. Failed period point for failure to comply
What needs to happen in order for a youth to advance to the next day while on Special Programming?
Earn every period point
What happens if you fail the 12 noon period point?
Your frozen on the next day, and you can't spend points from noon-1pm or until you earn the next period point.
What streaming services can be watched on the pod?
none
What are somethings that can cause a kid to be put on a timeout?
making threats, becoming overwhelmed/anxious, needing to calm down
What items should not be in a residents pod property basket
Photos, art class projects, wood, rocks, metal, hair products, glass
During the school year, where does the youth complete the school day?
On the pod (pod staff must provide work)
What happens when you fail to earn a period point on red card?
You start all over
What is the reasoning behind structured free time?
To give youth something constructive to do so it keeps them out of trouble
What is the purpose of a timeout?
to intervene at a low level to give the youth the opportunity to rethink and cool off, so there's not a potential crisis situation with a resident or staff
When a resident is on zero status what happens if they fail to earn a routine point? What happens if they fail to earn 2 routine points?
1. Zero status is extended by a period
2. Zero status restarts at the time they fail to earn the 2nd routine point

Watch tv, no buying power, talk to other youth

Yes it is because they get 2 parental calls per shift
