How do you form the passive?
You take a form of the verb ‚to be‚ and add the 3rd form of the verb (the past participle).
Coach to Kaya: „Your times are really good.“
Kaya to her mum later: „Coach………. me ………..“
„Coach told me my times were really good.“
Translate into English, use a relative sentence:
Eine Frau, die goldene Ohrringe trug, kam zur Tür.
A woman who was wearing golden earrings answered/ opened the door.
Translate:
Reisen kann teuer sein.
Travelling can be expensive.
Translate: Wenn sie noch ein Tor schießen, werden sie gewinnen.
If they score another goal, they will win.
Put the active sentence into passive voice: They‘ve offered me a job. —> I …
I was offered a job (by them).
Cody to Kaya: „Why do you live in Mobridge, Kaya?“
Kaya to her mum later : „…“
Kaya: „Cody asked why we lived in Mobridge.“
Translate, form a contact close:
Ein Kessel ist etwas, was du zum Wasserkochen brauchst.
A kettle is something you use to boil water.
Translate:
Ich liebe es, Comics zu zeichnen.
I love drawing comics.
Dad gave me (ein bisschen) money and sent me to the shops.
