Errorless teaching vs. error correction

Errorless teaching -

•PROMPT WITH SD

•Use on all new lessons until prompt fading is completed

•Most to least prompt fading will be utilized

•If correct, continue with 3-5 trials

•If incorrect, return to previous prompt and attempt for another 3 trials before re-stepping down

•If you have attempted twice and had to step back up contact intern or BCBA to review

•Once lesson has been mastered, move to error correction.

Error correction:

•Use after prompt fading has been completed

•Then step down

•Present SD, wait 3-5 seconds

•If correct – give praise and child can receive token at this time

•If incorrect or no response, prompt at least invasive prompt level

•If again incorrect or no response, use least to most prompt fading

•If correct respond, praise and continue without token
