When Heather and Staci go into classrooms and provided instructional feedback to teachers - non-evaluative!

The main source of communication for our building, on a weekly basis, anyway.

You may seek out Missy or Staci if you want to look into one of these curricular materials.
What are textbooks?
This is the schedule we will follow the first two days of school, allowing time to intentionally teach expectations, get into lockers, etc.

80% or higher average in every class. 90% or higher attendance. Must meet with administrator prior to this.
What are the requirements to obtain an honors pass?
Supporting students with lockers. Observing hallway behavior. Welcoming students into classrooms.
What are staff expectations during passing periods?
Review group norms. Go over instructional strategies. Make curricular connections. Tier 1 student concerns. Housekeeping.
What do you do at grade level meetings?
This is what you mark a student as, but only if they have missed more than half the class.
What is absent?
Though there is no ASP, this is what has been proposed in its place.
What is tutoring?
80% or higher in each class. 90% or higher attendance. Seniors can leave during study hall or lunch.
What is Open Campus?
This is what you send Kelly Knights in case you are out sick. Especially unexpectedly. You need 2-5 of them!
What are emergency "evergreen" sub plans?
In this order: Talk to student privately, document minors, contact families, and involve counselors.
What do you do regarding student behavior before contacting the office?
If you have this, I sure hope it's part of your sub plans! If not, that stinks!
What is a duty?
This process will be reviewed in the first month of the school year to assess efficacy and equity for students.
What is the Academic Watch List?
You will have two this year - laminated and paper.
What are hall passes?
These are public records and can possibly be sent home to families.
What are referrals?
They may not provide initial instruction, nor discipline students. Nor can they supervise a class.
What are volunteers?
Stick to the plan when students need support.
What is an IEP or 504?
This system got a facelift this summer. You will hear the updates shortly after this meeting!
