KODA with a K refers to a KID of deaf adult, under 18
CODA stands for CHILD of deaf adult, over 18

No! CODA are hearing. There are children born deaf with deaf parents but CODA is considred a term for hearing children born with deaf parents.
how do CODAS learn to talk?
by being exposed to the hearing community later in life or school, and other family members who are also a part of the hearing community.

they loved them! they would always make an effort to go to the performances.

yes ! if one or both parents are deaf you are CODA

No. Not all CODA can read lips but some can.
