What are the functions of money? Explain them.

a medium of exchange, which means that for example: instead to exchanging accounting services for shoes, the accountant exchanges his services for money. The money is then used to buy his shoes. 

a store of value. The problem with keeping goods in a warehouse /for example shoes/, there is a risk that they will go out of style and their value will go down. Holding money is a much easier way of storing value. You know that you do not need to spend it immediately because it will still hold its value the next day, or the next year.
