I would use this part of the book to find the meaning of a highlighted word.

This type of genre begins with "Once upon a time...."
What are fairy tales?
This is the area of the library I would go to find a chapter book such as Harry Potter.
What is the fiction section?
This is the author of the Pigeon and Piggie & Elephant books.
Who is Mo Willems?
Books in the fiction sectioned are organized using this.
What is the author's last name?
This is located at the back of the book and tells me what subjects are covered in the book, along with the page/s they are on.
What is the index?
These books tell about the life of a real person.
What is a biography?
Dogman books would be located in this area of the library.
What is Graphic Novel?
This is the book we viewed for March Book Madness that was about two children who are pulled into an alternate universe with characters from fairy tales and must battle a witch to save Hansel & Gretel and find their way home.
What is Grimmworld? (Witch in the Woods)

These books are based on events that happened in the past, but the characters may not be real people.

This book from March Book Madness focused on a girl who had to move in with her aunt, found a dog who she wanted to train as a therapy dog as a way to visit her parents in the hope that she can return home.
