What is the asking process?
A way to use scientific knowledge to solve problems and make life easier. For example, the invention the cell phone, computer, and iPad.
What is technology?
Listening to what the other partner in your group has to say.
What is considering all ideas?
Not leaving trash on the desk or floor.
What is cleaning up your area?
Letting the teacher or a student talk without interrupting them.
What is being respectful?
Add or taking away from the original design to change it and make it better.
What is the improving process?
A way to express yourself through creativity. Examples include drawing, creating pictures, and painting.
What is art?
Using an inside voice level.
What is using "table talk" voices?
Putting all materials back where they belong.
What is organizing your area?
Cleaning up your area without saying "I didn't do that."
What is being responsible?
Deciding on ONE design and drawing a picture of it.
What is the planning process.
A problem solver who uses science and math to build things that make life easier. Examples include building bridges, cars, and robots.
What is engineering?
Concentrating on what you are doing so that you can do a good job.
What is focusing on the task?
Leaving glue or split water on your desk.
What is wiping down your tables?
Coming to attention after entering the class, sitting in assigned seats, and listening for instructions from the teacher.
What is being ready to learn?
Making a model or prototype of the design.
What is the creating process?
A way of learning about the world around us by asking questions, watching closely, and doing experiments to figure out how things work. Examples include discovering, observing, and just being a detective for the natural world.
What is science?
Handling all equipment with care.
What is materials are TOOLS and not TOYS?
Paper, pencils, crayons, scissors, markers, or any other items you're using.
What is picking things up off the floor?
Not talking to your buddies while assignments of being given by the teacher.
What is being respectful?
Drawing lots of pictures of many different design ideas.
What is the imagining process?
The study of numbers and how they relate to each other. Example include adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
What is math?
Thomas Edison, Albert Einstein, Mark Zuckerberg, Alexander Graham Bell, Eli Whitney persevered till it was done.
What is "NEVER GIVE UP?"
Blocks, Legos, Picasso Tiles, Tinker Blocks and Strawbees.
What is putting them back into their containers?
Listening to instructions, completing the assignment, helping others when needed, and lining up in a quiet line.
