What is Tookany, Tacony, and Frankford?
This term is used to describe a non-native plant or animal species that can have harmful impacts on our native park ecosystem.
What is invasive?
This type of environmental nuisance can come in the form of discarded soda bottles, plastic bags, or other unwanted materials, which is why TTF regularly hosts volunteer activities to remove this material from our parks.
What is trash/litter?
This process is the never-ending movement of water in our environment, from the ground to the atmosphere and back again.
What is the water cycle?
The creek running through Tacony Creek Park ultimately drains into this larger body of water, where the people of Philadelphia get most of their drinking water.

TTF plants trees, shrubs, and grasses to build up these areas, which are located next to our streams, and provide shade and habitat for wildlife.

This type of container is used to collect runoff from roofing, and helps protect the streams during storms. Later, the collected water can be used to water your lawn or garden
