A comparison between two unlike things using like or as.
What does symbolism mean?
A word, place, character or object that means something beyond what it is on a literal level.
What is repetition?
When a line, phase or word repeats in a poem.

What sense does this appeal to?
Sight
The protagonist and antagonist of a story are also known as
the hero/main character and villain
What is a metaphor?
compares two unlike things. Doesn't use like or as.
What does the American flag symbolize?
Freedom, justice, peace, in-justice, USA, America, opportunity

The pattern of rhymes in a poem. Uses the end rhyme.

Some say the world will end in fire

From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire
But if I had to perish twice
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
is also great
And would suffice
Fire symbolizes desire and ice hatred. I will accept other interpretations along this line.
