Sonic is sent to the future which has been taken over by Eggman. Sonic needs to find portals to travel back in time to destroy Eggmans machines before they can robotize all the land and animals. All the while, Sonic is being stalked and hunted by Metal Sonic.
Not only is this real but the end credits of Sonic movie 3 has Metal Sonic arrive in a similar matter to the Terminator, hinting at this being the plot of the 4th sonic movie.
God of Destruction is sealed within a young 6 year old princess and cannot escape unless she cries. The God of Time wishes to awaken this sealed God in order to wipe out all timelines. Sonic befriends this girl to keep her happy while Shadow tries to seal away the God of Time himself. A time traveler from the future named Silver is tricked by the God of Time to kill Sonic, but eventually finds out he's fighting for the wrong side and teams up with Shadow to travel to the distant past in order to originally seal the God of Destruction inside the 6 year old princess to stabilize the Timeline. Unfortunately the God of Time kills Sonic in front of the girl, forcing her to cry. With the God of Destruction unsealed, The God of Time merges with them and start wiping out all Time and Space, the girl brings Sonic back to life with a kiss and then Sonic, Shadow, and Silver goes super and save the day.
