Happy Visits are rec for patients having a difficult time with appts- usually rec for patient with intellectual disablilities; such as autism.

Which one can be removed with prophylaxis? 

Discoloration that occurs within tooth structure 

Discoloration that occurs on the outside of the tooth 

 

Extrinsic Stains can be removed with prophylaxis most of the time.

Describe radiolucency and radiopaque, how do they appear in the radiograph? 

Radiolucency will appear dark in color- because they are less dense and allow radiation to pass through them. ie muscle and fat, skin, soft tissue. 

Radiopaque is more dense and will block radiation- ie bone, metal, stone.
