What is an "IN" Grade?
Student can be given an "IN" grade in a course (if the professor grants it) to complete the remaining work in a course if there is a serious interruption that is not due to a students negligence. Students are given 2 semesters to makeup the work and receive grade. if work is not completed, the grade turns into an “F”

Grade forgiveness allows students to retake up to 3 courses for a higher grade. This can help improve your FIU GPA.

What is a CLEP Exam?
A CLEP exam is a College Level Examination program. Student are given the opportunity to "test" out of several subjects. Free College prep courses are available through "Modern States".

What is a "DR" Grade?
Students are financially liable for the course after the Add/Drop period (first week of classes). Course will count towards Excess Credit. Course will not affect GPA.
