Usamos "there is" para hablar de los componentes que hay o existen. Usamos "protagonista + am, is, o are" para hablar del protagonista.
En el caso de que quiero hablar de los negocios que hay en mi ciudad: "In my city, there is a shopping mall/ it is a shopping mall".

Usamos "There are" para hablar de los componentes en plural que existen. Usamos "protagonista+ are" cuando hablamos de ese sujeto.
En mi casa, 2 cuartos: "in my house, (they are) / (there are) 2 bedrooms"

Los pronombres posesivos nos ayudan a especificar protagonistas o objetos de la oracion. Siempre van adelante de un sustantivo.
"Bedroom is small"--- My bedroom, your bedroom, his bedroom, their bedroom.
"I love Pedro cat"--- "I love his cat"
"I love his cat"
Tambien podemos reemplazar el "my... your..." con el nombre del dueño + apostrofe + s.
He is her boss. --- He is Maria's boss.
He is their brother--- He is Pedro and Maria's brother.
"She is his boss" (the boss of pedro)... she is Pedro boss or She is Pedro's boss.
