What is Central/ Main Idea.
To say that something is the case without providing evidence
What is a claim.
An important, unifying idea often answering the question " what did I learn". What is the "lesson"
What is Theme?
Sequence of event, experiences, etc. that can be fiction or nonfiction. Told in a point of view.
What is Narrative.
To break down into its parts and examine to determine meaning
What is Analyze.
To state or express the most important elements in shortened form,usually chronologically
What is summarize.
To quote specifically; recall
What is Cite.
The specific reason that a person has for writing something
What is Purpose.
Not literal; based on figures of speech; expand meaning.

Something that proves or disproves; facts make it plain or clear.
What is Evidence.
Expand on an idea; add details to give strength to an idea ( To establish, HINT starts with a "D")

To deduce, conclude, or figure out from evidence. Hint starts with an "I".
What is Infer.
The position or angle from which a story is told.
What is Point of View.
Something that provides information.
What is Source.
