Haw Par Villa.


Haw Par Villa, built in 1937 by the creators of Tiger Balm, was designed to teach traditional Chinese values through statues and scenes from folklore and Confucianism. The park was named after its founders, brothers Aw Boon Haw and Aw Boon Par, who were originally from Burma.

In the 1970s, it was a popular attraction and one of the few entertainment options in Singapore. Crowds flocked to this unique mythological theme park, located on Pasir Panjang Road.
