A groove in which the long head of the biceps runs through
What is intertubercular groove
A structure used to measure the drop in arch height in foot
What is navicular tuberosity?
A boney structure that is found between mastoid process and angle of the mandible
What is C1 transverse process?
Considered a floating rib and attachment site for quadratus lumborum
What is 12th rib?
An excessive anterior tilt will cause a shortening of this muscle
What is iliopsoas?
A shoulder range of motion that requires the elbow to be slightly bent
What is shoulder complex or glenohumeral extension
You need at least 45 degrees in this joint for push off during gait
What is: Metatarsophalangeal Joint
1st MTP Joint (0-70°)
The only motion in the cervical spine that does not have a normal range of motion of 0-45
The only thoracolumbar ROM assessment that test general flexibility?
A posture in the foot that is characterized by having decreased mobility
What is pes cavus?
A tight muscle that attaches here will cause the scapula to anteriorly tilt
What is coracoid process
Boney attachment site of the longest muscle in the body that separates the lateral and medial femoral triangles
What is ASIS
A muscle that is a deep anterior neck muscle between the trachea and SCM
What is longus colli?
A MMT where you must clear the umbilicus
What is thoracic or lumbar extension?
You would measure the Q angle to determine the severity of this knee angle
What is genu valgus?
A scapular upward rotator and abductor
What is serratus anterior
A strength test to aggregate all hip extensor muscles
A MMT that mainly test the strength of the suboccipitals
What is capital extension?
A muscle that crosses 2-4 intervertebral junctions and most developed in the lumbosacral region
What is multifidus?
Forward head posture causes weakness in these muscles
What is deep cervical flexors?
The patient was a 56-year-old male investment banker who developed right shoulder pain after a weekend of working with his arms extended over his head while painting the ceilings in his home. Initial observation reveals forward shoulders and abducted scapulae.Testing of scapular upward rotators revealed Grade 3 strength. Muscle testing of glenohumeral muscles revealed Grade 3 of right external rotators and Grade 4 strength of shoulder abductor, with pain that limited full effort. Shoulder internal rotation, flexion, and extension strength were all Grade 5 and nonpainful and considered noncontributing. Given his response of pain to shoulder abduction and weakness of scapular upward rotators, this muscle is being compromised
What is supraspinatus
A strength test to perform on this muscle when the patient has a trendelenburg sign on the left side while ambulating
What is glut medius strength?
A muscle that is causing patient pain with mastication, upon evaluation pain is elicited with cotton roll bite test on the ipsilateral side, elevation of mandible, ipsilateral deviation, and protrusion.
What is the masseter?
A person with excessive thoracic kyphosis will have a shortening of this muscle
What is pectoralis major?
What a scoliotic curve that has a convexity on the left side of the thoracic spine
What is L thoracic scoliotic curve?
