He was looking at his heart - he knew David loved him & wanted to live for him

He said that God has sent him ahead of them to save lives
When the Israelite army were too scared to face Goliath, why did David say that he would fight him?
Goliath was laughing at Gods people & insulting his God, every one else was too scared to fight him!
David relies on God who has been keeping him safe from the lions and bears and trusted God will rescue him from the giant (1 Sam 17: 36-37)
What are some godly character traits we can see in David?
He is Loyal (to King Saul, even though he wanted to kill him). He has great courage/ he is brave/ he has great Faith in God (as he said quite boldly that God would help him defeat Goliath)
What did the story of Joseph tell us?
That God works all things for good
How did David defeat Goliath?
He swung his sling shot & hit him in the forehead with a stone.
