I've never heard of music/food pairing before you mentioned it. It's a really interesting concept and makes a ton of sense. Sound, taste, smell, sight, touch, etc are all interconnected and build upon each other to heighten an experience. One of the articles mentioned higher notes with sweet and sour foods and lower sounds with bitter / umami foods which makes me wonder how my cooking and pairing of food (Example:
Japanese sweet potato with ceylon cinnamon and Vindaloo curry salmon) is influenced by potentially listening to different tempos while planning to cook something.
