How is a 504 different than an IEP?.
IEP includes specialized instruction to address a student's unique learning needs, while a 504 plan removes barriers so a student can learn in the general curriculum.

Using outlines or graphic organizers during instruction.
How often does an IEP team meet?
Once a year.

This type of support changes how a student learns the material, but not what.
What is extended time?
Helps students to process information slowly, or transcribe slowly.
What is reduced assignments?
Ex. Less problems but still assesses the content or standard.
