After Dufay, the most influential composers were Ockeghem and Busnoys, who continued the use of the forms-fixes (especially Rondeau) and frequent thirds and sixths. They differ because of: more frequent use of duple meter, further expansion of range, increased imitation and equality in the voices.
After them, we can consider Jacob Obrecht (1457/8-1505) and Heinrich Issac (1450-1517) as the Renaissance composers who move their ideas forward. Important differences include:
Obrecht and Issac traveled WIDELY. Ockeghem basically stayed in the same court in France most of his life.
Obrecht and Issac are known for combining northern and southern elements (low countries and Italy).
