A mat is torn

Set it aside, use another, and report it after class

You lose your voice and you have to teach a class later. You tried to find coverage last minute, but no one is available.

Use mic if available, turn down music, cue with gestures. Walk around the room instead of staying on the stage.

The mic won't turn on

Check batteries, power switch, or receiver. Try another mic. If none work, teach without it and project your voice. Report this after class.

A participant who signed up for the class shows up right on time as you are closing the door. The class is already full and a standby took their spot.

Notify them of RecSports policy. Tell them that their spot has been taken, and you would love for them to come back in the future.

“I did (blank)... should I submit a conduct form?”

You can read about what qualifies as code of conduct in the Files section of the Important Links Channel. If you’re questioning it, go ahead and submit it. If it’s not a conduct breach, you won’t receive conduct points.

Adapt exercises, share equipment, use different equipment. Report it after class.

Check if it was facing down. If not, flip it before throwing it away.

A participant leaves your class and never comes back. Their stuff is still in the activity room.

Ask the people who the participant came with. If they didn't come in with any friends, call a code pink on the radio. Then, file an incident report.
