What is gloves?
This must be done 100% before leaving for your shift. If not you will be called back and can not work until this is completed.

These should be worn during your work hours so residents can see who you are.

Immobile residents should be Turned and positioned a minimum of this often.

Nothing should ever be placed on these. Boxes of gloves are frequently found there.

You are only allowed to do this 7 minutes after without supervisor approval.

We should be doing this each time we enter a residents room.
What is knocking and introducing ourself?
You should never give out this code to anyone that does not work here.

This can develop if residents are not turned and positioned appropriately.

This should be used between passing out and picking up trays.
What is hand sanitizer?
During your shift you get 2- 15 minute and 1-30 minute one of these.

Residents deserve the best care because we work in this.

If you notice any change in skin condition this is the first thing you should do.

Residents should receive this on scheduled days to prevent skin issues and infection. And clean sheet should be applied on these days.

These should be cut with every shower.

These things should be in a bag before brining into the hallway.
These are not allowed to be used for any reason in patient care areas. If you need to use this you must step of the unit.
