Complete the remediation (study guide), review unit material, and review previous assessment with teacher as needed
Can you use AI to complete assignments?
No. Use of AI to complete classwork is considered academic dishonesty and result in a 0 and dean's referral
What do you have to do before you can leave to use the rest room?
Sign out at the front of the room and leave phone in the box
What percentage of your grade comes from the summatives?
90%
Formatives grades are only the Wednesday quizzes?
No. They can also be post labs, posters, and other class activities.
Most assignments done in class can be taken for formative grades.
How long do you have to complete relearning and reassessment?
7 days to complete relearning and schedule the reassessment
When can you come in for tutoring?
Before school, advisory, and after school on Tuesday and Thursday
What will happen if you are out of the room longer than 9 minutes?
A dean's referral
What is the general structure of every summative?
3 level 3 questions and 1 level 4 question for each section
What percentage of your grade comes from formative work?
10%
True or false. Do you have to complete the whole assessment if you plan to reassess?
No. You can choose to do one or both sections.
If you only do half the exam, you will only get half time.
Can you complete work and reassess outside the provided windows?
No. After the unit, no late work is accepted, and after the 7 days window, you cannot reassess.
When are you allowed to use the restroom?
After the first 10 minutes and before the last 10 minutes
Do you have to complete the whole exam?
No. You must complete all level 3 questions. You are encouraged to attempt level 4 questions; however, they do not count against you if you don't get them correct.
Why is it important to complete classwork?
The material on the summative comes from the classwork. If you don't complete the in class activities, you will likely not be able to perform well on the summative.
Why is completing the study guide potentially not enough to improve your score on an assessment?
Because you are given a completely different exam. If you don't take time to learn the material, you will likely struggle with the new questions, as well.
Will your grade get rounded up at the end of the semester?
Not automatically. I will no count one sensemaking formative and one communication formative. This is done for students who are close to the next level.
