Not Guilty
Right to remain silent fails under this amendment. So does the Miranda Warning.
5th Amendment
What they call the person accused of committing the crime. Represented by a defense attorney.
Defendant
Assault on an Officer
Classified as a Crime of Violence. Can be misdemeanor or felony charge and will increase the sentence.
Judge determines the prosecution has not provided enough evidence to convict, so charges are dropped and defendants are done with the criminal-legal process.
Dismissed
You feel you cannot prove your innocence, so you give up the right to a trial and seek a plea bargain for a lighter sentence.
No Contest
Right to an attorney, a speedy trial and to be informed of the charges fall under this amendment.
6th Amendment
Oversees the courtroom and listens to both side present the case. A neutral party only interested in the evidence.
