What are the Regional Operating Regulations (OR's)?
To educate and inform members of our local community or region on all aspects of St. John Ambulance for both Community Services and training and product sales
What is the purpose of Community Relations?
A structured process for current and future volunteers to enhance and develop soft people skills and tools to support leadership
What is the Leadership Certification Program?
The person responsible for all regional operations and is accountable to the provincial office
Who is the Regional Manager?
Data collected yearly for reporting that is shared regionally, provincially and nationally to demonstrate a members commitment to the organization

What are the Community Services (CS) section of the OR's?
During this time in June, municipalities fly the St. John standard for a defined period of time to show support.
What is St. John Week?
The act of finding like minded individuals to join our organizations while recognizing the efforts of those already within
What is recruitment and retention?
The person at the Regional Office providing the necessary support for all Community Services programs.
What is the Community Services Coordinator (CSC)?
A member of the Order of St John, who through observation and documentation can put an individual forward for admission into the order
Who initiates submission for admission or promotion into the order?

What is the Operations (OPS) section of the OR's (OPS)?
The member of the Regional Board responsible for developing Community Out Reach and Friend-Raising event plans
Who is the Community Relations Advisor?
A structured process that ensures new members to the organization have completed the requirements needed to be successful and confident.
What is orientation?
Committee responsible for the development of, and support for adherence to all Community Services programs at the Provincial level
What is the Council for Ontario Standards Committee?
Review and recommend applications for admission and promotion within the Order of St John
What is the Council for Ontario Honours and Awards Committee?
The process for interviewing, selecting, screening, and orienting of new SJA members and staff
What is the Volunteer, Instructor and Employee Screening Cycle?
Developing community relationships that enlighten and educated the commuity to encourage both material and monetary support
What is Friend Raising?
The process of observing, providing suggestions/feedback/encouragement to improve behaviours and traits
What is mentoring and coaching?
The individual who ensures program standards are met and adhered to and provide guidance and support to their specific Community Services program at the Regional Level
Who is a Regional Program Advisor?
A local level group that would review and determine Regional level recognition
Who are the Regional Honours and Recognition Advisory Group?
The described reporting relationships between the units, staff, regional advisors and Council
What is the Corporate (CORP) section of the OR's?
Opportunities to apply for grants and donations that enable us to deliver our high quality community services and training
What is Fund Development?
A group of activities identifying, supporting and training individuals who will move into a more senior role
What is a succession plan?
Governance body providing advice and recommendations around the implementation of programs and strategies to the CEO for the province of Ontario
Who are the Ontario Council Board of Directors?
An award presented to an adult member upon the confirmation of their first appointment into a leadership role
