First: He was standing on the bank of the Nile River. Seven healthy cows came up out of the river and began to eat grass in the meadow. Then seven other cows came out of the river. They were skinny and sickly looking. The sickly cows ate up the healthy cows.
Second: Seven full heads of grain grew on one stalk. Seven poor, dying heads of grain ate up the good heads of grain.
Meaning: The two dreams meant the same thing. 7 good cows and 7 good heads of grain represent 7 good years. There would be 7 years of plenty all over the land of Egypt. But after that there would be 7 years of famine when crops wound not grow.
