The discovery of a lost temple scroll led a Judaean king to tear his clothes in grief, sparking a massive national destruction of pagan idols that scholars tie directly to the laws of this specific biblical book.

A. Genesis

B. Leviticus

C. Deuteronomy

D. Revelation

What is "C) Deuteronomy"?

Why: I told ya'll it was Deuteronomy! In 2 Kings 22, the priest finds the lost scroll inside the temple walls. When it is read aloud, King Josiah realizes how badly the nation has disobeyed God's laws. He tore down the shrines built by previous kings (including foreign shrines that King Solomon had built for his wives, the living quarters inside the Lord’s temple that were being used for pagan fertility rituals, He destroyed "Topheth," a horrific site in the valley where people were sacrificing their children in fire to the false god Molech). He removed all the corrupt, pagan priests & ordered the entire kingdom to celebrate a massive, national Passover, which the Bible says hadn't been done properly since the days of the Judges (Joshua). Bible scholars universally recognize this specific found text as the core laws of Deuteronomy.

In (Joel 2:28), God promises that after the physical and spiritual restoration of His people, He will no longer limit His Spirit to specific leaders, prophets, or priests. Instead, His Spirit will be poured out upon "all flesh". we see this again in the New Testament, The Day of Pentecost in (Acts 2:16-21), the Holy Spirit descends upon the disciples, Peter declares, "This is what was spoken by the prophet Joel."

Why: King Zedekiah rebelled against the Babylonian Empire, which led King Nebuchadnezzar to break up the bronze pillars and The giant bronze basin that was officially named "The Sea" (or the Molten Sea) that were in the house of the Lord and carried the bronze to Babylon.

We know for a fact that the Babylonians smashed the Bronze Sea into pieces. When the Bible lists all the gold and silver treasures the Babylonians looted from the temple, the Ark is never mentioned.

the Serpent was destroyed centuries earlier by a Jewish king, not by the Babylonians!

The Altar of Incense was built out of acacia wood and completely overlaid with pure gold, not bronze. It was relatively small and not held by 12 giant oxen.
