an intentional and structured relationship approach in which two people pursue each other with the clear purpose of evaluating marriage. They are guided by values, commitment, and accountability right from the start

Why is building a relationship primarily on physical attraction considered a weak foundation?
Physical attraction alone is a weak foundation because it does not reveal a person's character, values, or commitment, and physical appearance changes over time.
How do you find the one?
That’s not something anyone can fully teach or map out step by step. Instead one should place their faith and trust in God and focus on becoming the one rather than finding the one

Personality influences attraction and feelings, but character determines how a person acts when life gets difficult. Character is a more accurate reflection of who someone truly is and is less likely to change.
Why should couples take courtship seriously from the beginning rather than waiting until marriage?
Courtship is the foundation of marriage. Habits, attitudes, and patterns formed during courtship often carry into marriage. Waiting until marriage to become serious is like trying to fix a foundation after the house is already built.
Compare the influence of emotions in dating and courtship
Dating=Emotions can lead decisions; feelings rise and fall and heavily influence actions.
Courtship=Emotions are present but guided; decisions are not driven by feelings alone but by discernment and control.

1:Friendship=a period in which two people get to know one another without the commitments and expectations of a romantic relationship.
2:Courtship=an intentional romantic relationship between a man and a woman for the purpose of determining whether they should enter into marriage.
3:Marriage=a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman established before God, in which both commit themselves to one another in love, faithfulness, service, and mutual support.
Why is building a relationship on potential rather than reality a weak foundation?
potential is who a person might become in the future, while reality is who they are right now. Building a relationship on potential means relying on hoped-for changes that may never happen, rather than evaluating the person's current character, habits, and actions.
