This creature's name translates to 'snow woman', and appears as a woman to those lost in the snow, with long dark hair, blue lips, and a white kimono. Originally thought to be wholly evil, murdering unsuspecting travelers, in modern legend they're depicted as more sympathetic, perhaps guiding these poor souls out instead.
