Approach/check in with them, explain how to join, help them get involved, or connect them with other participants.
You need help from a staff member who is working in another area. What should you include when making a request over the walkie?

What is the main difference between regular Drop-In and Learn-To-Play?
Learn-To-Play is staff-led and teaches participants the basics of the sport before they play independently.
You notice a large spill that you cannot safely handle yourself. What should you do while waiting for support?
Keep participants away from the area and stop or redirect activity if needed.
Name three different ways DISE staff communicate with each other.

When actively supervising Drop-In, what are the four things staff should be paying attention to?
People, activity, equipment, and the environment.
You notice a piece of equipment is damaged and may not be safe to use. What should you do?
Stop it from being used, use a safe replacement if available, and report it through the Equipment and Facility Condition Form.
A team reaches the maximum number of consecutive wins in Facilitated Drop-In and other teams are waiting. What happens next?
Both teams come off and two new teams play.
A participant arrives at Kerr Hall Drop-In without a OneCard but says they have an active membership. What should you do?
Refer them to the Booking Assistant or Coordinator to verify their access before allowing them into the program.
