Following a short scavenger hunt in this place, kids got miniature versions of these marine mammals.
What are whales or dolphins?
The 2 words that are repeated over a ship’s radio channel to signal a serious call for help.
What is May Day?
This item was set up each night at bedtime for 3 kids - some stayed on it, some fell off of it, and the last night, it partially deflated.
What is an air mattress?
The fun, 1 word card game we learned from the Busses.
What is Swipe?
A black-tailed one was spotted by a couple of people on a walk.
What is a deer?
The type of boat we were on (the short form of the word is a type of pet).
What is a catamaran, or cat?
Kids helped hang these items from the side of the boat to “cushion” our arrival when approaching a dock.
What are fenders (or bumpers)?
The day of the week in the name of the harbour where we went to a market and some shops.
What is Friday?
Mammals that were spotted near the China Caves playing in the water and running onto the beach.
