Give them an in-processing checklist, figure out which company SM is templated to go to. Call Sponsor or Company Rep. Arrive to Iron, if not reflecting, get with SSG Hawk to create the assignment OR write name down so that we can verify movement happens. Assist with all S1 portions. Take Hero Photo.

Then they are okay to leave. SM will not leave S1 still in AA.

When reviewing submitted awards, regardless of type, what should we check for?

Check eligibility. Period of award matches achievements and citation. Proposed presentation date is after award period (if ACH) or before PCS/ETS/RET leave begins. Rank and Name is correct throughout the achievements and citation, ACH 1 should be spelled out, then abbr. afterwards. All sentences make sense and words spelled correctly. Proper case for all verbiage. No repeated achievement bullets. Citation is correct version for recommended award.

Two forms of ID reflecting the new name: New SSN card, Driver's license, Passport, etc.

Marriage certificates are not approved documents, UNLESS it specifically state the name change is authorized (usually only Utah)
